About Me
The unspoken beauty that nature showcases has always captivated me. The vibrant colors of a sunset washing against the sky, the dramatic contrasts of bold and bright flowers against green foliage. Nature and all the wonderful creatures living in it are a gift. These are the things that inspire me to paint.
Ever since I can remember I've always found "my place" with a sketch pad and pencil or canvas and paint. It is where I go to relax, to let my soul be free. I enjoy working in acrylic paints as it is a flexible medium and allows me to achieve a finished piece in a timely manner. I love working with While I explore a wide range of art styles letting my emotions and environment dictate the tone of the piece, I am most comfortable with the realism art style. I take great pride in achieving a level of detail that captures more than the visual accuracy of a subject; I work towards bringing the vibrancy of life and the expressions that depict character to the art piece. I feel the eyes are what tell the story, embrace you, make you feel. I have recently been creating portraits using pastels, pastel pencil and colored pencil and am amazed at the diversity this medium offers. Blending and smoothness can be achieved as can precise details.
